01 / CONTEXT
A home for curiosity and learning.
Teachers, parents and learners need places to explore ideas, find inspiration and share ways of understanding the world. Nucleus Learning brings educational writing and creative activities together in a public website that visitors can return to over time.
The website reflects a long-standing interest in science, mathematics and how people learn. Its content ranges from educational articles and lesson plans to research resources and puzzles.
02 / THE EXPERIENCE
From educational ideas to hands-on puzzles.
The site organizes material for different kinds of exploration: visitors can read the blog, browse lesson plans and books, or follow a digital pathfinder into research on teaching and learning with multiple representations. The pathfinder brings together research questions, influential thinkers, publications, journals, conferences and a lexicon, so readers can move between an educational question and the sources around it.
Hexa-Trex mathematics puzzles and Spelloops word puzzles provide another route into the same spirit of discovery. The public site publishes individual puzzles and links to a Hexa-Trex browser puzzle.
03 / THE WORK
Building for a community of learners.
The work reflects our experience with educational publishing and digital experiences that make resources accessible to a broad audience. The design challenge is to make different kinds of material—long-form articles, research references, teaching resources and recurring puzzles—easy to discover without losing their educational context. It connects creative content with a web presence that can grow as new ideas and puzzles are shared.
Nucleus Learning demonstrates how a clear, approachable online home can support a mission beyond a single application or event.
